Make fresh spaghetti with a cool, old-school chitarra pasta cutter, authentic Italian 00 flour, a rolling pin, and a pasta drying rack.

  • The Italian "chitarra" (literally, "guitar") is one of the oldest spaghetti-making tools, dating back to around 1800.
  • Made of beechwood, it looks like a double-sided guitar or harp, with tightly strung stainless steel wires spaced equally on both sides but with different thicknesses.
  • Make pasta dough with the included high-quality Italian 00 flour (the finest European grind; not commonly available in the US) and eggs, roll out with the included rolling pin, then press the flattened sheet of pasta against the wires to cut it: one side for thinner noodles, and the other for thicker ones.
    • Finally, dry it by hanging it on the included drying rack.
  • Che buono! You've just made delicious fresh pasta. Who needs a machine? Not you.
  • Kit comes packaged in a drawstring muslin bag.
  • Made in Italy.
