Growing up in Iowa, Susan Flewelling was always surrounded by art and talented people making it. After getting into photography in college, Susan spent more than 10 years taking pictures in Orange County, California, and San Francisco, where fierce competition pushed her to perfect her craft. After COVID-19 ravaged her business, Susan sought a new art form, and discovered resin. Now she’s a one-woman show, designing pieces, cutting wood, and re-creating the waves that lap down the street from her home in San Francisco.
